NorAm Event Update

Dear Freestyle Ski Friends – I am writing to bring you up to date on the latest developments in the North American FIS Events:
Schedule w/ Comments:
1.) US Freestyle Selections – Winter Park, CO – Dec. 16,18,19 – M/M/DM – FIS Event
- All is good here.
2.) US Freestyle Selections – UOP, UT – Dec. 20, 21 – A/A – NorAm
- All is good here.
3.) URTUR Halfpipe – Sun Valley, ID – Jan. 8,9 – HP/HP – NorAm
-All is good here.
4.) URTUR SkiCross – Lake Placid, NY – Jan. 27 – SX – NorAm
-All is good here.
5.) URTUR Moguls – Lake Placid, NY – Jan. 28?-31? – M/DM – NorAm
- As of 48 hours we have been able to lock down the date of the SkiCross event. Now this allows us to then work on the best schedule for the M/DM and this should be finalized in the next 7-10 days.
6.) URTUR SkiCross – Copper Mountain, CO – Feb. 2,3 – SX/SX – NorAm
- All is good here.
7.) URTUR Moguls + Halfpipe – Killington, VT – Feb. 5,6,7 – M/DM/HP – NorAm
- All is good here.  There have been questions here concerning the Dew Tour Finals at Mont Snow, VT on the same weekend.  The Killington crew had their bid and was accepted 40 days prior to the announcement of the Dew Tour calendar on July 13, 2009.  The Dew Tour has still not defined what will happen on each event day for them.  Also, considering this is the Dew Tour Finals the fields of invites will not be excessive.  The URTUR will remain with its schedule.  Teams should begin to understand the criteria for World Cup and World Championship attendance when they receive this seasons comp guide, the NorAm will play a role in this development and team managers will need to begin to weigh their athletes levels and attendance at various events.
8.) CANADA Aerials – Mt. Gabrial, QUE – Feb. 6,7 – AE/AE – NorAm
- All is good here.
9.) CANADA Moguls - ??Revelstoke, BC?? – Feb. 19,20 – M/DM – NorAm
- Due to financial constraints the COP has had to withdraw its bid for the NorAm – which has caused us a loss of a HP event at this time.  CAN has put forth a possible replacement for M/DM at Revelstoke, BC.  We are awaiting this decision and hope to have it in the next 7-10 days.
10.) CANADA Moguls + Aerials(Finals) – Apex Mt. Resort – Feb. 25,26,27,28 – M/DM/AE/AE.
- All is good here.
11.) URTUR Moguls Finals – Arapahoe Basin, CO – Mar. 3,4 – M/DM – NorAm
- All is good here.
12.) CANADA SkiCross – Red Mountain, BC – Mar. 3,4 – SX/SX – NorAm
- All is good here.
13.) URTUR Halfpipe Finals -  ?????????? – Mar. 5,6 – HP/HP – NorAm
- This weekend was tentatively scheduled to be at Squaw Valley, CA.  Squaw valley has asked to take a rain check so that it can concentrate its resources on the US Freestyle Championships and the needs of the Aerial Hill at this event.  I have been pursuing various locations for this event, because I feel having a solid HP schedule of 5 events to be very important for its continued development.  If there are any interested parties please let me know.
14.) URTUR SkiCross Finals - ?????? or ????? – Mar. 19,20 – SX/SX – FIS and/or NorAm.
We have two interested parties on the West Coast that I will be in review with and look to have this planned in the next 7-10 days.
